David Yann is a documentary and expressionist photographer that follows in the traditions of Lee Friedlander and William Eggleston. His work involve the use of 35mm and medium format film, instant cameras, manual cameras, and film scanners. His subjects include stories of outsiders, loneliness, ruins, and hidden moments of life.

He was born in Oakland, California in 1985. Currently residing in Midland, Texas.
